Multimeter (Devices Voltcraft VC920).v4p

The Voltcraft VC920 available here is a cheap Multimeter including an optical RS232 Interface and a temperature sensor. This module should also work with other VC 9xx instruments.

The patch is a bit messy because of..ahem...
let me qoute oschatz's answer to a forum question regarding similar devices here:

according to the docs, the voltcraft vc820 has one of the most bizarre serial commends i have ever encountered, as it basically just transmits the status of the individual segments of the display. while vvvv sports a SevenSegmentSpread which allows to convert text to seven segment data, we somehow missed the ReverseSevenSegmentSpread who does the reverse....

so at least once all receivers are initialized with the right value

driver patch for a cheapo and not that fasto DIY DMXinterface.
more info about that interface to find athttp://www.dmx4all.de/dmx411.php in german language only.
although MSBERGER did a faster driver patch which uses the block transmission mode.

but before you go with it: i would recommend you to go ArtNet with the Enttec ODE.
the cheapest ArtNet-Node and as fast as DMX allows.

MA Lightcommander (Devices MIDI) node set

the MA Lightcommander 12/2 is a small lighting desk. you also may use it as a comfortable MIDI faderbox for controling your vvvv-patches because its DMX-output gets pretty useless when working with vvvv and a DMX-interface...
