Cameras with a WDM driver

Standard cameras (those with a WDM driver) can be simply accessed via the the Driver pin of the VideoIn (DShow9).

Use the VideoTexture (EX9.Texture VMR9) connected to the VideoIn's Video output pin to retrieve the video texture which can be:

Professional cameras can typically be accessed via a propietary API. Those can be implemented in a plugin like it was done for the uEyeCam (Devices).

The Image Pack provides support for some more cameras (including Canon EOS, Point Grey, PlayStation Eye).

Capture Cards

Capture Cards either come with a WDM driver or a proprietary API. In the first case simply use the  VideoIn (DShow9) to access them, in the second case you'll have to write your own plugin in order to to implement the API.
