RandomSpread (Spreads)

Help creates a spread of values randomly filling a range

Here you are supposed to see an image (rendered with SVG) describing the pins of this node. However, this does not work with Internet Explorer. You may want to consider using another browser, like FireFox, Chrome, Safari or Opera that do support SVG.

try changing the input and width pins. this will move and
scale the range. Each random seed will generate one unique pattern
of random values.

the values generated are fully reproducible and are not random in any sense. You can build your patches on the fact, that each random spread with the same seed will genereate exactly the same values on all machines.
if you dont need that behaviour, build a patch which will calculate an unique seed out of something like the MAC adress of your machines and the system time.

StiX: i think i alredy used it once, but i might be just confusing constructing my own mesh with getting stuff out of a buffer

evvvvil: you mean like vertexbuffer dx9 node Stix? I would use a compute shader... you're saying there is a dx11 node that does this?

StiX: i think i went blind, i cant find a way how to get vertices positions from geometry buffer, can someone point me to the right node?
