It is possible to turn the Quad into a 'billboard' (make it always face the camera in a 3D environment) by setting the Space pin to 'Projection'. In a depthbuffered environment, this sometimes causes undesired results (e.g. the billboard overlapping the scenery), which can be resolved by using ZWriteEnable (EX9.RenderState).
