Leonardo Pisano, a.k.a. Fibonacci, was the greatest mathematician of the Middle Age. He is really important since he brought the current number system to Europe: he traveled a lot in North Africa, because his father was a merchant, and he learned the Indian numeric system. Can you immagine to calculate the bill with Roman numeric system?

In his "Liber Abaci" he proposed a problem about rabbits that is pretty famous: its solution is known as the Fibonacci sequence and it is everywhere in nature, music, art.
