vveekend vvorkshops 2: Character Skinning in VVVV

on twitch.tv/vveekendvvorkshops

on 14/11/2015 4PM UTC/GMT or 5PM CET

Hi vvvvolks!

Next instalment of vveekend vvorkshops series will be on this saturday starring vvvv hypermegasuperstar evvvvil and he will show us a pipeline of exporting things from C4D into vvvv and preferably animating it with assimp nodes, and I will show you guys how to make your character interactive or present it as an avatar with kinect ;)

This time the stream will take place on twitch.tv to avoid german copyright circus. Don't worry the recorded video will still be available on the youtube channel.

Stay tuned and see you on the vveekend!

Since we're doing skinning I will come in dressed as a butcher, with a half dead chicken and a great big fuck-off knife. Will be fun. Looking for masks as well as I am way too handsome for a v4 workshop. See you then douche bags!

@evvvvil will you bring pedro? it's been a while since we last heard from him

sebescudie 10/11/2015 - 20:41

woooo can't wait!

cyper 10/11/2015 - 21:44

great :-)

@sunep: I'm sorry but Pedro can't come as it clashes with his over-50s body-sculpting aerobics workshop, which he will attend naked. I'm afraid the commitment is just too big (pun intended), and too many geriatric mothers are counting on Pedro to provide "uncut enlightenment". In other words: He might make an appearance at the end.

@evvvvil @microdee
regarding kinect2/skinning, have you seen this? skinned-skeleton-and-kinect
it includes a mesh by @antokhio that is rigged according to the kinect2 skeleton spex. number/names of joints are correct and therefore the mesh already moves correctly with the tracked skeleton in the demopatch. only orientations are not correct thats why it looks a bit weird. anto said he struggled to get those right, but maybe it is a good startingpoint for someone else..

Hi guys.

Is there anywhere like Github or elsewhere that I can find workshop files so I can practice on my own?
