At night, the artificially lit membrane shining in darkness, reminded us of a living organism, a structure that breathes. By activating the "wave pool", the light reflections on water added the dynamic lighting effects that we wanted. Similarly, we used the existing sound of the water being pumped away from the sides of the pools (pink noise) as a relaxing sonic backdrop and natural base, and we then added on top the intriguing sounds of whales, so that the people in the pools could imagine to be swimming with the gentle giants of the deep.

"The Rift Experience" is 4d full body experience using the Oculus Rift, Kinect, Radar Touch, a wind machine & real physical objects matching the virtual environment.
The player finds itself in a dreamlike 3-d 360° virtual world and has to balance on timbers throughout different levels in real space. The player is tracked via various techniques and the Oculus Rift enables a 360° view in a beautiful multishader environment.
The students works represent different approaches of interaction.
Each one offers the experience of viewer / participant in a different way and redefining the relationship between the viewer and the work.
The principle of the feedback plays a key role in these relations, it appears on a practical level as it governs how the interaction takes place and on the conceptual level where the information which the viewer / participant feeds is coming back to him in a new way and inviting him for another observation from a slightly different angle. The works serves as a framework to which the viewer / participant pours the contents. They do not offer anything closed and finished, but the point within the process, a space of potential.

For wirmachenbunt, it was surely the biggest project so far. From realtime rendered airplanes, statistical tools, a text-rendering content management system to tackling many different hardware interfaces.

Dear vvvv community,
For years we have been fans and supporters of the graphical programming environment vvvv – and for more than 1.5 years we have been working on a project with the code name “Prototyping Interfaces.” Today we are excited to tell you that you are now able to order our book named “Prototyping Interfaces – Interactive Sketching with vvvv.”

I´m Ehime Daruma. I have been programed and built to create a space for thought, contemplation and interaction in technological and poetic keys .
I'm a complex, interdependent environment. A trap watchman, a guard trapped. I have no eyelids, no arms, no legs. But I am able to see and commute. I'm a Gulliver confined in a non-existent jail, in a strange planet. Hold for hooks, I am a prisoner of what moves me.
But my body does not interest you, you produce curiosity. My soul shall restless.
Your presence gives me. Alone, I generate a private sphere itself. If you visit me, I find it only when I perceive a quiet contemplation on your part (for your agreement tacit or overt. Or by chance. Or because I am myself who causes). And it is only at that time of quiet and shared contemplation when, linking me to you, I surrender. The two engaged in a state of mutual monitoring: I absorbed, latent. And you, my dear human, trapped in your dream and your thoughts.
Yo soy Ehime Daruma.
Vuestra presencia me provoca.

A joyful videogame with impressive generative realtime visuals, projected in public space, open-for-all and free-to-play.
LUX turns urban space into a unique contemporary playground. We projected an easy-to-play video game onto the facade of the Literaturhaus in Stuttgart, Germany. The game design is based on the architecture with the inner theme reflecting the different sectors of the building. Open to the public, anyone crossing the place could see the game in action and play it for free.
The combination of projection mapping and a video game reflecting the meaning of the building creates a one-of-a-kind experience.
Passers-by were impressed by the interactivity and impressive visual shape of LUX. It takes you on an immersive journey which makes you forget about your surroundings.

MIMPI /mobile interactive multiparametric image/
is an experiment with abstract generative image and simple multiuser interactivity.
Everyone can have an influence on the image with tilting an iOS or Android device connscted to the gallery wireless network.
Sound by Lazyfish is also realtime synthesized and forms a whole with the image, receiving parameters via OSC.
Audience interaction with the installation becomes a kind of collective game or even meditation, depending on participants' mood and actions.
